Exfoliation is good for soft and glowing skin, but for some skin types it can be a little harsh. That’s why today I’m making a body scrub with some moisturizing ingredients in it. It’ll give you a good scrub, but also leave your skin soft and moisturized.

Today I’m adding honey and coffee creamer powder to my basic scrub recipe (see my previous post), to make it soothing and gentle for the skin. Olive oil is very moisturizing and honey has great softening abilities, is antibacterial and great for any skin type. Coffee creamer powder helps softening the salt a bit more. So these ingredients combined make a lovely scrub.

Start off with a cup of salt. The salt grains are the components of the scrub that will exfoliate your body.

Now add some olive oil and mix it up with the salt. Make sure that the mixture is not too wet and not too dry. All of the salt should be covered with oil and there should not be any excess oil on top of the salt.

Now add one tablespoon of honey and one package of coffee creamer powder.

Mix everything up and your custom made natural body scrub is done. You may want to add some extra salt or oil if your scrub turns out to be too wet or too dry. Make sure you have a nice balance between dry and wet ingredients.
Now step in the shower and rub on the scrub. Give your body a nice massage while getting rid of dead skin cells. Be careful using this scrub if you have any wounds on your body, because the salt stings.
There are a lot of oils that are good for your hear and make great hear masks. But when you combine these oils and heat things up, it’s even better for your hear. The heat will make sure the nutrients in the oils can penetrate the hear even better, making your hear soft and shiny.

For this hear mask I have used three oils, which all have excellent effect on hear. However, it is not necessary that you use exactly the same oils. It’s fine to use only one or two of the oils, if you don’t have all three of them, or add extra oils if you like.

Start off with a spoonful of coconut oil. At room temperature this oil is solid, so first we are going to melt this in the microwave. About 40 seconds should be enough for the oil to melt.

Now add a spoonful of almond oil, and one spoon of olive oil. Stir to mix all the oils together.

Now we are going to heat this mixture up. Put it in the microwave for about 40 seconds and you hot oil treatment is ready to use.
You should apply the oils to your hear, concentrating on your ends, and massage everything in. now put on a shower cap (you can use a plastic bag if you don’t have one) and put a towel on top, to lock the heat in a little bit. Now let it sit for about 10 to 20 minutes, then take a shower and shampoo your hear. You can condition afterwards, but that’s not really necessary.
This recipe is enough for relatively thick half long hear. If you have really long and thick hear, you should make more. If you have short hear, you can make a little bit less.
